Use of oxygen concentrators

Oxygen concentrators may only be used to support residents with respiratory illnesses on a doctor's orders, although carers can administer oxygen in emergencies until the doctor arrives. Before use, the device is carefully prepared, its functionality checked, the amount of oxygen set and the procedure then documented in accordance with the instructions.
